chapter twenty seven

Two Months Later…

“So what does it have to say?” I ask nervously.

“I’ll give you one guess.” Summer says, her hands shaking.

“You know, I think this beats the whole wedding gitters.”

“You think?” she says, trying to stay calm.

“Okay, on three, flip it over.”

“Okay.” She breathes.

“One, two, three!”

Summer flips the stick over, looking at it with me. A smile spreads across her face, as we read it together, “Pregnant.”

“I’m a dad.” I say in awe.

“Yeah, you are.” She says, putting my hand on her stomach.

I love the feeling of my hand against her stomach, my baby is in there.

“I guess living happily ever after is possible.” I laugh.

“You better believe it.” She says, kissing me as I twirl her around the room.

And they lived happily ever after….
